PM type pipe hangers usually have a semi-circular body, which is designed to tightly wrap around the pipe and provide it with all-round support. The ends of the body usually extend into right angles or parallel planes for connection to other supporting structures. On the top of the body, there are usually one or more attachment points (eyelets) for attaching bolts, screws or hangers. These attachment points can be round or oval to accommodate different types of fasteners. In addition, wings may be extended on both sides of the body to increase the contact area with the mounting surface and provide a more secure fixation. For quick installation, these wings often come with pre-drilled holes.
